We attend a Century 21 Cordeau Marshall auction at Pymble Golf Club last night. Five of the original 10 had been sold prior leaving only five to be auctioned. There was one auction in particular the stood out. That was 193 Ryde Road, West Pymble which had been marketed by Thomas Skelly.
There had been a lot of interest in the property with 10 bidders in the room and 3 online bidders. The auction started at $700,000 and slowly moved up to $715,000. Then one of the online bidders started bidding by placing a bid of $717,500 starting the in room and online battle. The property eventually sold under the hammer to one of the in room bidders for $752,000 but the online bidders had pushed the price up by $37,000.
The auction, for 193 Ryde Road, ran for 19 minutes and 24 seconds with a total 52 bids being accepted by the auctioneer at an average rate of 2.7 bids per minute. 42% of the bids were placed by online bidders.
