When James Snodgrass, the principal at Forsyth, contacted us a week ago and asked us to help webcast out one of his auctions the answer was obviously yes. James needed our service to webcast out the auction because the vendor was interstate and could not be at the auction. The property in mention was 9 Robert Street, Willoughby in the lower north shore of NSW.

There were approximately 50 people at the auction and 103 people watching online from Australia, India, Hong Kong, China, United States and New.

The owner was also viewing the auction online and when asked about his experience commented “It was so much better than being on the phone. Being able to see and hear the auctioneer live was great.”

The opening bid started at $800,000 and quickly moved to $1,000,000. The property eventually sold for $1,350,000 an estimated $164,500 above reserve. The auction lasted for 14 minutes with 38 bids placed at 2.71 bids per minute.
